Requests for photocopies, photographs, slides, and document scanning are considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to approval by the Bibliographer. Permission depends upon the physical condition of the material in question, and should not be assumed in advance.

Published Material

Published materials in sound condition can be photocopied on-site with minimal delay at a cost of $.10 per page.

Off-site requesters will be charged $.25 per page and will be required to pay in advance by cash or check (payable to the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute) before the order is processed.

Archives

Photocopies

Archival material may be photocopied on-site at a cost of $.25 per page.

The Archives will provide up to 15 pages of photocopies for off-site requesters. The fee for this service is $8.00. Prepayment is required. Photocopy orders of over 15 pages will include the basic curatorial fee of $8.00 plus $.25 per page. All photo-duplication orders must be paid in full by cash or check (payable to the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute) before requests will be processed.

Digital Imaging

The Archives can provide document scanning and/or digital photography at a cost of $5.00 per image. All digital imaging orders must be paid in full by cash or check (payable to the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute) before requests will be processed.

Photographs

All requests for copy photographic services will be forwarded to the Photography Studio in the Harvard College Library. The Photograph Studio provides large format (4x5 and 8x10) color and black and white photography; 35mm color and black and white slide photography; and custom black and white printing, including exhibition-quality printing. Prices range from $8.00 for a 35mm slide to $100.00 for an 8x10 color transparency. The Photography Studio will provide an estimate in advance and contact the requester before undertaking any project. Payment must be made in advance before requests will be processed. Permission to Publish

Permission to publish Archives materials must be obtained from the Bibliographer and may be subject to a fee. Requests must be made in writing to the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute Reference Library, 34 Kirkland Street, Cambridge, MA 02138.
