“Local Perspectives: national, Regional, and Local Dimensions of Ukrainian Historical Identities”
Viktoriya Sereda is Associate Professor in the Department of History and Theory of Sociology at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. She is also the Coordinator of the qualitative sociological survey for the international project, “Region, Nation and Beyond. An Interdisciplinary and Transcultural Reconceptualization of Ukraine,” organized by the University of Gallen (Switzerland). Dr. Sereda received her candidate of sciences degree (2006) from the Institute of Sociology at National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Her research interests lie at the intersection of urban sociology, sociology of everyday life, memory studies, nationalism and identity studies. Her proposed research topic is “Local Perspectives: national, Regional, and Local Dimensions of Ukrainian Historical Identities.”
