Recent program developments have included:
- The launch of our new Temerty Contemporary Ukraine Program, which included a special lecture by Amb. John Tefft and a series of TCUP talks within the Seminar in Ukrainian Studies.
- The publication of the 36th volume of the journal Harvard Ukrainian Studies and Larry Wolff's Disunion within the Union: The Uniate Church and the Partitions of Poland, as well as several co-published books, including Courage and Fear (by Ola Hnatiuk, trans. by Ewa Siwak) and The Post-Chornobyl Library (by Tamara Hundorova, trans. by Sergiy Yakovenko).
- An expansion of the MAPA: Digital Atlas of Ukraine “Revolution of Dignity” project, providing maps with data on Ukraine's changing religious landscape, including the transition of parishes to the newly formed Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
- An active seminar and lecture series (with many talks available for viewing on the web) featuring scholars and professionals such as Kate Brown, George Grabowicz, and former Ukrainian minister Alexander Danyliuk.
- Special events at the 2019 Association for Slavic, Eastern European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) Convention, including a screening of Sergei Loznitsa’s award-winning film The Trial, a book signing with author Larry Wolff, and the inaugural Omeljan Pritsak Book Prize in Ukrainian Studies.
