HARVARD UKRAINIAN SUMMER INSTITUTE | 2020
June 20 – August 8, 2020
Online
Director’s Welcome
In my dual capacity as Summer Institute Director and instructor, I welcome the HUSI Class of 2020. The circumstances are quite different this year, at times challenging, but we are determined to make your virtual experience as positive and productive as possible. Our dependence on technology will require patience from everyone. There will be glitches – there always are – but we will get through them and move forward toward making this summer better than ever.
As an important supplement to the academic program, I invite you to participate in the HUSI Public Lecture Series, which will take place every Friday, 1:15 – 2:45 PM EDT.
If you have any questions or concerns during the summer, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am available over email (serh.bilenky@utoronto.ca) and/or one-on-one meetings via Zoom. In addition, Megan Duncan Smith (duncansmith@fas.harvard.edu) should be your primary contact for all administrative questions related to HUSI.
In the meantime, cheers to what will surely be an intense and memorable seven weeks ahead.
– Dr. Serhiy Bilenky, June 20, 2020
